Live Photos—which add three-second videos on either side of a photo—have been around since the iPhone 6s, and Google Photos supports these little mini-movies. Apple Photos, Adobe Lightroom, Shoebox, Lyve and Mylio put your entire picture library in your pocket.

Photos has a wealth of options, features and possibilities for viewing, manipulating and managing your digital storehouse. And many of them aren't immediately obvious.
