Now I'm trying to download things like Vuhdo and DBM but they won't install. When I load up after doing the following steps the addons don't appear. But when you download something manually from curse, it comes in a zip file that you have to open and then put the resultant addon in your addon folder. If that's not the issue, there's one other that catches new people: addons like dbm extract into a folder that contains multiple subfolders for each module. This is how I have been doing it for years: 1.) go to Curse website and download addon.

2.) open 2 Finder windows and place them side-by-side 3.) click on: Applications>World Of Warcraft>Interface>AddOns to open the addons folder 4.) go to the 2nd finder window and drag the folder holding your new addon you just downloaded from Curse (found in 'Downloads') - then drop that folder into the 'AddOns' folder of the other Finder window. When you have the AddOns folder selected, you should see the names of your wow addons as subfolders. With some wow addons there is more than one addon you will need to make them work (called dependent addons) so you might need to download another addon to make it work; that information can be found in the information area of that addon in the Curse website.
