How Do I Install Addons For Wow On Mac

Автор:

I downloaded my first addon about 2 weeks ago, Auctionator. It installed fine using the directions from the only forum post I could find and video which were both outdated.

Wow

Installing addons manually is not always an easy process, so we've created this guide to help you along the way. For an automatic solution to addon installation, we encourage you to give the Twitch App a try for both Mac and Windows users. Windows, Mac and Linux users can manually install.

Now I'm trying to download things like Vuhdo and DBM but they won't install. When I load up after doing the following steps the addons don't appear. Steps I take to download addons- -download the add-on from curse -click downloads on top right of my screen -right click what I just installed and open in finder -drag the addon from downloads tab to desktop tab -open new finder window and go Applications/WoW/Interface/Addons -drag the addon from desktop tab on 1st finder window into Addons in 2nd finder window Then I close both finder windows and launch WoW. Nothing Am I doing something wrong? So two things. Your steps say you're moving what you downloaded into your addon folder. Auto recover on mac for excel where is file.

But when you download something manually from curse, it comes in a zip file that you have to open and then put the resultant addon in your addon folder. If that's not the issue, there's one other that catches new people: addons like dbm extract into a folder that contains multiple subfolders for each module. Each of those needs to be put into the addon folder, you can't just put the main folder in. Corrected steps: -download the add-on from curse -click downloads on top right of my screen -right click what I just installed and open in finder - If it is a zip file, double-click to open with the archive utility, this will result in a folder appearing.

-drag the addon folder from downloads tab to desktop tab -open new finder window and go Applications/WoW/Interface/Addons -drag the addon folder from desktop tab on 1st finder window into Addons in 2nd finder window - For some addons like DBM, ignore the previous step and instead open addon folder and drag every subfolder into AddOns in 2nd finder window Then I close both finder windows and launch WoW. This is how I have been doing it for years: 1.) go to Curse website and download addon.

2.) open 2 Finder windows and place them side-by-side 3.) click on: Applications>World Of Warcraft>Interface>AddOns to open the addons folder 4.) go to the 2nd finder window and drag the folder holding your new addon you just downloaded from Curse (found in 'Downloads') - then drop that folder into the 'AddOns' folder of the other Finder window. When you have the AddOns folder selected, you should see the names of your wow addons as subfolders. With some wow addons there is more than one addon you will need to make them work (called dependent addons) so you might need to download another addon to make it work; that information can be found in the information area of that addon in the Curse website.
